Behind a Sunday Driver on Monday

Dear Sunday Driver who was in front of me Monday on a single lane, no passing road:

It wasn't your fault I was late for an appointment as we drove along that road. That’s why instead of tailgating you, I kept a safe and courteous distance from the back of your car. But I wanted to fly over your vehicle or bump you out of my way.

The many speed limit signs we passed bore this number: 30. The number my speedometer hit while following you: 20. That’s thirty-three percent less than the allowed acceleration! Bet you’ve never gotten a speeding ticket. I know I never will as long as I am behind you.

Danette, You are way too nice. I would have been a lunatic tailing them and leaning on my horn. Oh yeah, Mondays do that to me. ;o)

With the price of gas, I have trained my heavy foot to be lighter...but now when my hubby rides with me he says..."you know you can get a ticket for going too slow."...I think he's just telling me that, so I'm out to prove his theory wrong...grin...

You are a saint! I am so frustrated by people who don't know how to drive the speed limit. And 30, well, that isn't exactly the Indy 500, now is it?

I thoug was reading "ello's blog for a moment, until I noticed the lack of cursewords and violence.

Driving behind people like this always makes me glad to have learned yoga breathing. I tell myself that it's an opportunity to cool down and relax, that I shouldn't be in such an all-fired rush.

Then I look at the clock and start fuming all over again.

Danette, I wish I had your patience two weeks ago while tailing a "Drive Slow, Wet Paint" truck. There was no truck in front of him painting the lines. His job was just to drive at 5 mph, seriously... 5 mph... telling everyone behind him with his flashing sign, that the lines HAD been painted some time earlier. Now, this road runs along the Delaware River in PA and is very narrow and has nowhere to turn off of it. I tried to have patience... Really, I did, but 20 minutes later... Well, let's just say... Does anyone know how to get yellow paint off a car???
