Violet Raines Trailer on Scholastic Site!

The Violet Raines trailer filmed by Scholastic last November is up on their site!

Aack! It's scary to be on film! But the guys at Scholastic did such a great job--lightning strikes throughout the video, and the music adds excitement.

Click here to watch the trailer. Hope you enjoy it!

I love it! You look so good and you did a great job! I love my Violet Raines book and I bought some for gifts this year and not only did the young ladies read the book, but their moms did also and they all loved Violet's story...

They wanted to know if there will be anymore Violet stories? hint! hint! hint! grin...

Loved the book - love the trailer. I didn't know it was lightning alley - so I learned something. Plus all those pics of the alligators...scary. Of course Violet is bold and brave but what about the bridge?...

Great job!!!

And this trailor is terrific! Love the wildlife shots. Made me remember to when I first met you, and how close you came to scary animals, and posted the pics for our entertainment...

Excellent trailer. If that can get some exposure it'll sell books.

Danette,

I'm so excited for you. Great trailer!!! And it's so wonderful that your book will be available at the Scholastic Book Fair. So many more kids will get to read your book now.

(Scroll down on my blog and you'll see the park that I tromp around in. Lots of Cypress knees there, too.)

I'm so happy for you!

That was awesome! You looked so relaxed and comfortable and you spoke about your book so well. You did a great job!

That was fantastic! I watched it with my daughters and they said your book looked great. They are predisposed to liking anything with a tough girl protagonist, so your book was already half sold. But lightning and alligators definitely add something extra.

It also reminded me of when I lived in Florida. (Your accent isn't as strong as my cousins' accent, though -- have you lived outside Florida for a long time?)
