Feeling Groovy today

"Black Water" by the Doobie Brothers-it's been stuck in my head all morning, the same two lines--O, black water, keep on rolling/ Mississippi moon won't you keep on shining on me. Yes, I should have guessed the name by that, and I did! After I googled the words, that is.

I give you the video now, so you may listen and get the song stuck in your head. Pay it forward!

I refuse to listen! I think the term for that is an "ear worm".

Danette, I like you very much and you are a great writer, but this song sucks. I've always hated it. Not quite as much as I hate songs by the Police, but pretty close.

HA! Charles! I like you and your writing very much too, and I even like your comment 'cause it made me laugh.

*raises hands* Disclaimer: I don't listen to these guys, the words just streamed into my head today. I was never interested in the Police, either. My sister liked Cheap Trick, and I liked a few bands, saw them in concert back in the day. Must run a different post to talk about my reviews of concert weirdness.

Sandy! Resistance is futile! You've already READ the words--you know the melody--you are doomed, DOOMED I SAY!

Oh, Kim--I've always loved that one! It's like summer in a song.

Plus you have to know he was feelin' pretty groovy when he starts talking to a lamp post.
