I live near a river - an alligator-less river - but a river none-the-less and I have to say sitting by the river is such a calming, replenishing act. It soothes and connects you to nature and you begin to remember who you are.
At least for me and that's why I'll never move too far away from it.
When my husband and I were first married, we lived on Econlockhatchee Trail. It was very frustrating spelling this when giving out our address. It is a great picture, and does look like the river I pictured in your book.
How serene looking...
ReplyDeleteNow how to you say "Econlockhatchee"...is it said like it is spelled?
Looks a lot like many of the small rivers around here.
ReplyDeleteThat is breathtaking. It looks like a painting. Thank you for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteOh, how beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to read the thousand words.

I can almost see Violet scampering about that river bank.
ReplyDeleteNow that is a picture I could look at all day long.
ReplyDeleteMan, this is exactly what I pictured in VIOLET RAINES! Which I LOVED by the way. Great job, and great picture :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo peaceful and calm. I love it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the Cybil nomination.
