Loss of a Black Flip Flop

Loss of My Wedged Black Flip Flop

O, wedged black flip flop
to all you did match
That's why I packed you
and closed the latch.

Suitcase open
still early dawn
left was there
right was gone.

I called the airport
I filed a claim
They said they didn't have you
and that is my pain.

Right is still missing
Left is now home
I look for you always
The web I do roam.

Wedged Black Flip Flop

My thongs I used to take near and far
no longer is that what they are.

"Don't ever call a flip-flop that."
People snicker, think I'm 2 fat
to look for a thong in the store,
laughing as I walk out the door
they point and giggle as I walk away
But a thong is what I'll always say

And...I hope you find yours today :D

And I think YOU'VE found your forte!

Haha! Kim, you made me laugh!

Touche'- we could go back and forth all day!

I was just thinking how silly it is that I can't call my "thongs" that. I hate to be a conformist :( I want to say what I want to say . . .

That poor flip flop. Out there alone somewhere. But I've heard that flip flops sometimes find their way home even across the miles. Let's hope. :)

Haha, Charles! Yes, you've given me a glimmer of hope--that poor flip flop gimping its way home along busy roads, no one stopping to give it a ride. True grit and unmatched love and devotion give it direction And energy and spirit. By Jove, I think we've got a movie here!
