How very amazing! You can tell I don't have those birds in these parts. My cat would be freaking out with them in the yard. He only gets to meow at the Mallards and Canadian geese.
I love the Wildlife Week!! It's like going to the zoo for free.
Those birds are awesome! Great pictures, too. One morning I saw a scarlet tanager and was thrilled. Haven't seen one since.
Hi Decaf! Thanks for coming to the zoo.
Stella,
I didn't know what scarlet tanagers were, so I did a quick search on them. They're beautiful! Their colors are so saturated. I saw red and yellow, but the blue ones are dazzling.
Would they be called blue scarlet tanagers? I don't know, but the blue photo is on this site:

You are so lucky. I want to live where you live!!!I can't wait to see what you find in your yard tomorrow....Be careful:)
Do you walk around your neighborhood with one of those hiking sticks so you can beat back the wildlife if it gets too close...
If I were you, I would be driving everywhere...walking looks dangerous in your neck of the woods...grin...
