That's pretty sweet. I remember when that song first came out back in the early to mid 90's, I was all over Blind Melon. My "hippie" era, I guess. I think one of the dudes died of a drug overdose or something, and of course, the "bee girl" has become something of a cultural icon, but not in a good way. Thanks for the memories:)

Love that song. :) Haven't thought about it or heard it in a long time! It was nice rediscovering it on your blog.
I always liked the song...but that's the first time I've ever seen the video...you find just about anything on youtube...grin..
Thanks for sharing...
Hi SK,
I love that song. The music sounds exactly like the oversaturated colors the video is set in. It makes me want to wave my hands in the air.
Courtney,
This is one of those songs that I do think of often. I just love that 70s vibe!
Brenda,
Don't you love the video? A lot of people like that bee girl--esp. when she sees through the gate that there are more of her kind. But I just love, and sorry to repeat myself, I just love the oversaturated meadow the band is singing in. I belong there! (I flash a peace sign to you.)
I played this song so much when my kids were little that both of them knew ALL the words when they were 2 & 3. Swear! I just recently burnt this song onto CD and my son, now 15, still remembered the words, so we sang it, rather silly like as my daughter sat in the back of the car, rolling her eyes, but I bet she knew the words. Shame the lead singer Shannon Hoon died of a heroine overdose, they were a good band. The girl is so, so cute, she reminds me of what would happen if Lil Miss Sunshine & Napoleon Dynamite had a talent show. :)
